Dorothy Shelby is a primitive folk artist. She started painting in 2008 at the young age of 64. She paints everything from her memories of growing up in Industry, Texas. Baptism, church annuals, to the school play day picnics it all comes from Dorothy's memories. She writes children's books and creates dolls with the collection name of "Dottie's People". She is their Senior Pastor of City of Refuge church. Wife of 56 years. A mother of 5 children, a grandmother, and even a great grandmother. She has lived in Round Top for almost 60.
