Lone Star Festival
The Event for Texas Creatives

Rhonda was born in southern Oklahoma but frequently moved throughout Oklahoma until her family settled in southeastern Oklahoma, where pine trees scent the humid air. She spent much of her childhood playing in a tree or making mud pies while daydreaming stories and pretending she was Laurie Ingalls. Intensified by the fact that some thought she looked like Melissa Gilbert when “Little House” was running.

The daughter of teachers, Rhonda grew up in school. She swore she would never be a teacher, but she was good at it and became one anyway. She was a dedicated mother for many years with dreams of writing. She lives in Texas with her Westie, Pearl. Her beautiful, smart girls are grown with exciting lives of their own. She currently teaches first grade, making an effort to inspire young ones to write their dreams while working toward hers.
